#VisiónColector

Colector is a contemporary art gallery, artist management, and cultural production platform established in 2019 and based in Monterrey, Mexico. Its work extends beyond the traditional gallery model, combining exhibitions, artist development, institutional collaborations, cultural production, and strategic advisory.

Colector represents and manages a focused group of internationally active artists whose practices engage abstraction, conceptual inquiry, material experimentation, and contemporary cultural discourse. The gallery works closely with its artists to develop long-term projects and expand their visibility through exhibitions, museum presentations, institutional collaborations, and international partnerships.

A central part of Colector’s practice is the production of cultural projects around its artists. Over the years, the gallery has produced artist series, publications and books, short films, international artist residencies, and museum exhibitions, and has supported institutional acquisitions and other forms of long-term artistic development. These projects are conceived as extensions of an artist’s practice, creating new contexts for their work beyond the commercial exhibition format.

Between 2024 and 2026, Colector operated in Texas through a Project Space in Houston and a gallery in Dallas, where it presented exhibitions by Latin American artists and developed relationships with collectors, institutions, and the broader cultural community. This period expanded the gallery’s international reach and resulted in works by represented artists entering museum collections and institutional programs in Texas.

Today, Colector operates from its permanent space in Monterrey while maintaining an international program through temporary project spaces, exhibitions, and collaborations across Mexico, the United States, Asia, and Europe. The gallery has presented projects in cities including Mexico City, Paris, and London, often coinciding with major international art weeks and cultural events.

Alongside its gallery and production activities, Colector operates an advisory platform that serves established collectors and develops collections with a long-term, research-driven approach. Advisory services include access to significant artworks, institutional relationships, and curated travel and research itineraries connecting collectors with galleries, museums, artists, and private collections.

Through this integrated structure, Colector functions as a gallery, artist development and management platform, cultural producer, and strategic advisory. Its work connects artists, collectors, and institutions across Mexico and international cultural networks, creating opportunities for artistic practices to develop across commercial, institutional, and cultural contexts.
